Searching the cemetery database
From the drop-down list, select the type of search required:—
Deceased person allows you to search the burials in the cemeteries listed at the top of this page for a particular person, or
Cemetery name or location allows you to search for any cemeteries at a particular South Australian location. You can enter a place name, or a geolocation in the format latitude*longitude, both in decimal degrees, eg -34.9*138.5 gives cemeteries in the Adelaide western suburbs.
Note any geolocation prefixes or suffixes before undertaking extensive travel. They indicate unconfirmed or inaccurate location.
If you do not get the expected results, read the more detailed help article on advanced searching of our databases.
If the person you seek is not found in these burials, check our directory of cemetery and burial resources, or read our help article, Searching for SA Cemetery Burials.
Note that many of the locations listed here have more than one cemetery.
The list includes cleared cemeteries and some that were reserved but never used. Some of the place names are obsolete and will not be found on present-day maps.
