The three maps included are the State of South Australia, the Adelaide metropolitan area, and the City of Adelaide.
Negotiating the maps
Use the arrow buttons at the top left of each map to scroll and the [+] and [-] buttons or slide control to zoom in and out. For finer scrolling click and drag any point on the map. Double click any point on the map to move it to the centre. This is especially useful when zooming in on a particular location. The zoom controls allow viewing all the way from the entire world down to individual houses, trees and other features more than a couple of metres in size (in [Satellite] mode). To swap between the maps click the appropriate button below.
Searching the maps for a South Australian place name
Remember that the search is world-wide. So, for example, if you are trying to find the location of the South Australian town of Port Lincoln, you need to enter port lincoln south australia or pt lincoln sa in the search box at the top right of the map. Also, remember that the maps are present-day only, so you will not be able to find obsolete place names. Note that map rendering is very slow with a dial-up internet connection. A broadband or cable connection is highly recommended.
